The Signal Hill Police Foundation was formed to support outreach efforts to build strong relationships between the Signal Hill community and its Police Department. The Foundation offers financial support for programs that bring the community and police together.
Signal Hill's award winning National Night Out event that promotes police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods safer and better places to live. National Night Out is held every year on the first Tuesday of August.
Each year, the Foundation donates holiday packages to Signal Hill families in need.
The Sultans Car Club hosts an annual car show benefitting the Too Good for Drugs Program. Hundreds of classic cars are on display with music and food. This annual event is held at Signal Hill Park.
The Signal Hill Police Department teaches the Too Good For Drugs curriculum to local 4th and 5th graders. Our goal is to expand the curriculum to our middle school students. Topics include positive decision making, how to handle peer pressure, and the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs. Funding for the Too Good For Drugs program is 100% donation based. For more information, please refer to http://www.toogoodprograms.org.
Together, the Police Foundation, Police Department, and Target hold and annual Toy Drive to support the Holiday Outreach Program.
